Sandy Obelsky, President of Treasury Assist, LLC
Sandy is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and has over 30 years of combined corporate treasury,
international commercial bank operations, financial accounting and auditing experience.
In 1999, Sandy became an independent consultant to share her experience with other financial
professionals and to help improve the quality of her client's work environment. Sandy has been fortunate
to have worked with clients in various industries including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals,
biotechnology, manufacturing, alternative energy, asset management, child care, semiconductor,
real estate construction, financial services, and retail. Sandy has assisted clients with project
implementations such as treasury workstations and financial services restructuring. In addition,
she has managed daily treasury operations for clients experiencing staff shortages. With an extensive
background in internal audit and internal controls, Sandy has assisted on many Sarbanes-Oxley projects since 2003.
Sandy has degrees in accounting (BBA) and finance (MBA) from Temple University in Philadelphia.
She is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) and the AFP of Arizona. Sandy has
served on the AFP CTP Exam Development Committee, was the editor for the AFP Learning System: Cash Management
Fundamentals in 2003 and assisted in the development of the AFP Learning System: Treasury in 2002 as a subject
